Famous Caterham R500

This is chassis number 3, the famous 0-100-0 record breaking car. It was built by Caterham in 2000, and was originally used as a press car, painted blue . It was then repainted in the colours of Comma Oils, and broke the Autocar 0-100-0 record in 2002. In 2005 it was completely overhauled (mechanically and cosmetically) and was used as a static display car at Comma. It was barely used until I purchased the car in February 2006. Now, due to a relocation to a very rural part of the country, I have been forced to offer the car for a reluctant sale.
The specification of the car is as follows:
Standard Superlight R500 specification and reviews : www.stevecarter.com/R500/R500main
Removeable carbon fibre aeroscreen and mirrors
New type FIA roll bar with petty strut and head restraint
Keyless ignition
Carbon fibre airbox (?1200 option new)
Cat bypass (with cat included for MOTs)
New-style anthracite Superlight wheels, 6" front and 8" rear, fitted with nearly new CR500s (rears around 1000 miles old, fronts 500 miles)
Painted Viper Blue, with Comma livery (would be simple to remove if you prefer, stickers are just over a year old)
Also included painted R500 rollbar, windscreen and doors.
MOT to February 2007, Tax to February 2007.
The car has been maintained regardless of expense, and comes with a huge amount of history and press coverage. The engine was last refreshed by Minister around 1000 miles ago. Caterham have just rebuilt the throttle bodies, and the car comes in magnificent condition with no known faults, mechanically and cosmetically.

The car is offered at ?23,495, and can be viewed in Warfield, Berks. Please email or call 07875 520031
I would consider part exchange with cash either way for a Lotus Elise or Noble M12 GTO-3r.
