2019 1600 Turbo SEiW Widebody
1600 Mazda engine with TD04 turbo, producing 270bhp (232 at the wheels) using an ME221 ECU. 5 speed manual gearbox with the 1.8 Torsen differential. Track capable fuel system with swirl pot and lift pump. Cooling is dealt with using a Coolex radiator and intercooler combo with ducting to force the air through both. Fully independent suspension with Protech springs and dampers. The car has Wilwood brakes all round. On the interior it has Tillett B5 seats (fixed position) and Luke harnesses (4 point currently, but I have the additional straps and fixings to make them 5 point). Lowered floor pans. It is half carpeted to keep the kilos down while maintaining a more finished look. The dash is carbon fibre with billet aluminium switches and a Race Technology Dash2 Pro dash. This dash reads data from the ECU and has additional sensors for the likes of oil and fuel pressure. On the exterior it has the FW front end with the ZK rear end option. Carbon fibre cycle wings with small LED indicators over the front wheels which are Team Dynamics Pro Race 3 with Toyo tyres (lots of tread left). Sports carbon fibre exhaust, sound great and not too loud for the track limits. There is a full FIA/MSA approved roll cage fitted to the car from Caged Laser Engineering. Carbon fibre rear panel covering the fuel system.

The car was built over 2 years and went through the IVA first time with no bother. It was registered in April 2019 and it’s first MOT will be due 1st April 2022. It was eligible for an age-related plate as a single donor vehicle, however the MX5 donor had an ageless plate and this was transferred to the car. The donor car was owned by myself for 8 years before turning it into this Westfield. At the time of conversion, the donor had 62,000 miles on it.

This car is pretty much brand new completing only 575 miles since registration. It was built with track days in mind but has never completed one since being completed. It is a very fast car that I’m sure will provide someone with a lot of fun!
